A/N: The timeline is somewhere between the defeat of Frieza by Mirai Trunks and before the arrival of the androids. Chibi Trunks has not been conceived yet.

CHAPTER ONE:

The princess sighed for the umpteenth time as the large screen in front of her remained blank. She couldn’t understand it.

“Azaka! Kamadake! Hasn’t the rebooster regenerated enough energy yet? How much longer before we get back to Planet Jurai?!” She spat out angrily, her impatience making itself evident.

The two guardian logs of the Princess sweat dropped in growing agitation and unease. They were both very aware of how hot-tempered she could be.

“Please, Princess Ayeka. We are trying our hardest. The boosters should be ready in another hour.”

“You said that about three hours ago!”

“…”

“Argh! It’s no use! There is no point in…” she began to say, when a slight tug was felt on her dress. Looking down, she stared into wide-eyed pink orbs that smiled at her. Feeling her anger dissipate a little, she fixed a responding grin on her face.

“What do you want, Sasami?” Ayeka asked, patting her little sister’s head.

“Can you read me my story now?” the pretty blue-haired girl chirped happily. She knew how agitated her older sister tended to get whenever things didn’t go her way and she was the only one that could curb that anger.

“All right, Sasami.” Ayeka replied, as she began to lead the way down to her sleeping quarters. “You must promise me that you will go to sleep as soon as I finish the story. I do not want to have to read over ten stories tonight. Got it?”

“Yes, Ayeka.”

Glaring meaningfully at her guardians, the Crown Princess of Jurai led her little sister into the rooms where the books were kept. Selecting one of the few stories that she liked to read, ‘The Princess and the Prince’, she sat down on the comfortable chair and waited for Sasami to get into her bed.

“Are you ready now, Sasami?” she asked, cocking her head to the side.

“Ready!” Sasami cried out happily.

“Fine. Now…let us see…ahh, yes…Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there lived a princess that was so very lonely…”

~*~*~*~

“….the end.” Ayeka finished, closing the book softly as she noticed that Sasami had indeed fallen asleep. Rising up from her chair, she tucked the blankets over her sister carefully. After placing a light kiss on her forehead, she made her way back to her quarters.

Taking off the layers of clothing that covered her dainty body, she sat down in front of her mirror and carefully began brushing out her long, luxurious purple hair. Staring morosely at her reflection, she pondered on what the Fates had in store for her.

She would be seven hundred and nineteen Jurian years old in a few days and she was not looking forward to it in the least. She had pleaded for a short vacation before the festivities were to begin, which in Jurai tended to go on forever. Her father, the Emperor Azusa, and her mother, Misaki, had not been very happy about her intended trip. They could not refuse her though, and so they had allowed the princess to travel out of the planet for a short while with the promise to return a week before her birthday…and that had been over three months ago.

She had taken her prized ship, Ryu-oh, for this trip and she had been glad for the release. Visiting the other friendlier and neighboring planets with her little sister in tow had been a fun experience. She had been unable to, however, escape the curious glances and whispers that preceded her wherever she had gone. The same question still arose. Who was the princess to choose as a groom in her upcoming birthday celebrations? Who would dare fill the place as the Emperor? Who was good enough for her? Good lord! It had been splashed all across the news and papers and it was taking all of her strength not to scream in frustration.

And now this. They were supposed to be heading back home and somehow her ship had run out of fuel. The second option, being the boosters, had refused to work and her guardians had been trying to get them to function again, but to no avail. For days now they had been stranded in space, floating aimlessly, unable to communicate with any one or anything.

~ We are lucky we haven’t been stopped by space robbers or anything. And those useless Galaxy Police! Why haven’t they come to check up on my ship yet? Do they not navigate this side of the universe? Are we in an unknown territory?! ~

At this thought, the princess’ eyes widened in horror. She bit her lower lip as she weighed the situation. If they were stranded in a remote part of the galaxy, then…then…

~ Oh, no! Please, let us not be anywhere near that horrible planet Vegeta! ~

If there was any planet that the Jurians could claim real terror for, it was the small but powerful planet Vegeta. A planet ruled by the Saiyans, with the ability to turn into the most fearsome ape-like creatures, they were known for their ruthlessness and purgings. They were known as the planet raiders, invading other smaller and weak planets and selling them to the highest bidder.

~ Such callousness! Such barbarians! ~

Unbeknownst to the princess, the Planet Vegeta had been destroyed by the lizard tyrant Frieza for several years now. All its inhabitants killed. All except for one.

Shaking her head, she pursed her lips and set it in a firm line.

~ Hn! I refuse to allow myself to think of that. We could not be in Saiyan territory. We would have been caught by now. I have to….~

“AIIII!!” She screamed as she fell across the floor, bumping her head against the foot of her dresser. The ship rocked sharply again, causing her to slid even further before landing with a thump against one of the trees that surrounded her room. Holding a hand to her bleeding forehead, she snarled as the lights began to flash brightly.

“ALERT. ALERT. RYU-OH IS ABOUT TO CRASH INTO SECTOR 032 IN APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES.”

“What?! What?!!” Ayeka screamed, unable to believe her ears as the ship shuddered again. Clutching a tree trunk in desperation she tried to see through the trickle of blood that was beginning to fall into her eyes.

“Azaka!! Kamadake!! What is going on?!!”

“Princess Ayeka…it seems like the boosters were not able to help and the atmospheric pressure of sector 032 is sucking us into its orbit. We are unable to control the gravitational pull.”

“I DON’T CARE!! YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!” The frantic princess screamed again, as the ship shuddered and seemed to increase its descendance.

“AYEKA!!”

“Sasami!!” Ayeka yelled out, watching her little sister run up to her through the red haze that seemed to fill the room.

Tumbling into her sister’s arms, Sasami whimpered in fear as she noticed the gash on Ayeka’s forehead. “What is happening, Ayeka?” she asked in panic. “Are we going to crash?”

“Yes, Sasami.” Ayeka said in as comforting a voice as she could manage. “Hopefully we will be able to crash as safely as we can. Hold on to me.”

And raising her voice she commanded her guardians. “AZAKA. KAMADAKE. WHAT PLANET ARE WE LANDING ON?”

“The Planet Tanrou, Princess Ayeka. A small planet off the eastern…”

“AIIIIII!!!” The girls screamed in unison as the ship gave another thunderous jolt, knocking them both several feet into the air. Landing painfully to the floor in a thud, the two princesses were knocked out cold.

Meanwhile, the tree ship Ryu-oh continued its doomed descent into the waiting planet.

~*~*~*~*~

The only survivor of the destruction of Vegetasei, the Saiyan no Ouji, Vegeta was not very happy. In fact, he had not been very happy since he first laid eyes on those so-called Z fighters, especially that earth-raised Saiyan that called himself Goku. Knowing that the baka had achieved the legendary status of Super Saiyan before him… His Prince!… was enough to make him mad. And so he had come to this planet to train.

He had been here for Kami knows how long, all in his attempts to better himself. He was determined to reach that level. He was determined to show Kakkarrot (Goku) that he was and could be a Super Saiyan just like he was. He had borrowed the space ship from that screeching woman’s scientist father, although he had told no one and had decided that training in the relative silence of outer space was the best place for him.

~ My Home…~

He shook his head angrily as he tried to push away the petulant thoughts of his former planet from his mind. He could not allow himself to let those painful memories flow through him again. He did not want to be reminded of how gullible and subservient he had been to that monster, Freiza. He had given up his pride for that bastard and what had he gotten for it? Nothing. A destroyed planet and not even a chance to kill the tyrant himself. No…it had to be that baka, Kakkarrot! And then to top it all, when it had been discovered that Kakkarrot hadn’t killed the tyrant after all…it had been a strange fellow from the future that had finally destroyed him. A boy from the future that was able to become a Super Saiyan! The…the…insult!! He was supposed to be the only….

~ Nani? ~

He blinked as he heard the light boom above him. Dropping his evening meal of some dead animal he had caught and was about to skin, he raised his head and stared at the bright star lit sky. Straining his ears, he heard the sonic boom again. Frowning now, he wondered what or who could possibly want to come to this planet. He had scoured the area and had seen that it was pretty much uninhabited and now…

~ What the hell? ~

He jumped to his feet as the sound became louder. Whatever it was, was heading towards him at an alarming rate. He could feel the earth around him begin to tremble and it took all of his energy to stand on his feet. Gritting his teeth, he stole a glance at his space ship, hoping that whatever it was wouldn’t land on it and destroy it for him. His eyes widened as he the object began to make itself apparent. It was a spaceship…a very large spaceship and it was heading right for him!!

“Kisama!!” He shouted out as he flew away to a relative safe distance, falling flat on his face and covering his head as the loud sound of the space ship finally collided into the ground, causing a loud destruction of the neighboring mountainsides and the plant life. Even the lake that was nearby was not free from the crash as the large splash drenched the cowering prince. Growling in growing anger, he staggered up to his feet, brushing himself off as he stalked towards the smoking remnants of a funny looking wooden ship.

Luckily, his space ship had not been destroyed, but it looked like whoever owned this arrival was not going to like the outcome. This ship looked like it had seen its last days of flying. Stopping a few feet away from the damage, he scowled as he waited for its occupant or occupants to come out, bracing himself for any kind of attack. After several minutes of no movement, he grit his teeth in frustration and began walking around the ship looking for any kind of entrance into it.

~ Aha! An entrance! ~

Stepping carefully into the damaged door, which he had had to push open, he stepped into a forest. Blinking in confusion, he stared around him in slight awe. Something about this ship was awfully familiar, although he couldn’t seem to figure it out. Since the ship was lying on its side, Vegeta had to steady himself along the branches that filled the space.

~ Why am I doing this? I should just take off in my space ship and disappear. I am getting way too soft. ~

Rounding a corner, he froze as he saw the two lying bodies in the distance. They looked dead. Walking quickly towards the figures, he realized that they were actually two girls.

~ Kuso! Who are they? ~

A flash of light startled him from his musings and darting his eyes up he spied the two log-like things with weird markings on them that hovered slightly over the semi-nude body of the purple haired girl. Feeling his face flush as his eyes took in the long pale legs beneath the transparent negligee, he shook his head and began to lift the little blue-haired girl in front of him.

“Thank you for your help, kind sir!” The logs spoke up, causing Vegeta to nearly drop his precious burden. “I am sure that the princesses will thank you.”

~ Princesses? ~

Vegeta stared numbly at the girl in his arms and at the purple haired beauty still passed out on the floor. Swallowing tightly, he wondered what he had gotten himself into as he began taking Sasami out of the ship. To his irritation, he noticed that one of the logs was following him and biting back a sharp retort, he clamped his jaw and kept on walking. Placing Sasami beside the fire he had made in his makeshift camp, he covered her with his own blanket and making sure that she was all right, he darted back into the ship to fetch the second.

They were princesses? Princesses of what planet? It certainly couldn’t be from that godforsaken planet he was currently residing in, Chikyuu, so where could they be from? He tried to ransack his frazzled mind, as flashes of all the planets he had been to, raced through it.

Getting back to Ayeka, he found himself staring again. The see through negligee she wore did little to hide the slight but curvaceous creamy skinned body beneath it. Full pert breasts rose and fell slowly with each breath she took, her washboard stomach smoothed down to cream-colored panties that led to long legs that seemed to go on forever. And that face. Even though there was a thin line of blood drying up on it, Vegeta could still see the serene beauty that was present on the visage. Her long purple tresses framed her face in a soft flow, causing a strange stirring in his nether regions that he most definitely did not want to feel at this point in time.

Shaking his head, he cursed himself for ogling and placing a hand beneath the warm body of the princess, he lifted her up and began to walk out of the space ship, hopelessly aware of the way her breath tickled his neck and how soft and good she felt in his arms. His face had now gone a bright beet red and he blamed it all on not being around women…decent women in a long, long time. Placing her next to her lying sister, he covered them both with the blanket, releasing the pent-up breath he had not been aware he had been holding.

Glancing out of the corners of his eyes, he spied the two floating logs behind him. They were disconcerting to say the least and with a snort, he sat across the sleeping girls, determined to keep awake until the morning light. He was determined to find out who they were at all costs.
