Chapter 59:

Rites of Spring

Heero looks so cool.

I sit here like a proud husband or wife or father or mother…whatever, as he gives his final speech as Student Council President to the full room. I’ve gotta confess it’s a bittersweet moment. Wasn’t it only yesterday that Zechs had been standing there (with that pretty Chinese fan of his) giving the badge to Heero as well?

“…been a great year…tough sometimes,” Heero says and this elicits several chuckles and laughter from the students and the few faculty members there to witness the event. “But all the same, I couldn’t have done this without my great staff…” He motions to his suddenly shy team to get to their feet and we all clap as Kenzo, Anne and several other seniors bow at the applause and recognition. Heero clears his throat, once it dies down, and takes a deep breath, catches my eye and smiles a little. “So…eh…I don’t want to get into some long speech as I’m sure you’re all tired and want to go home like I do.” More laughter. “So without further ado, I hereby hand over the reigns to the one you’ve chosen to represent you in the upcoming school year. He was my pick as well and I know he’ll make Fujisaki proud. Akira…come up here.”

The blushing junior shuffles to the front, and extends his hand for a handshake. I swallow tightly at the scene, just imagining the gamut of emotions Heero’s going through. I watch as my boyfriend pins the badge on Akira’s blazer; notice the slight tremble in his hands, before he pulls away quickly with another firm handshake. Applause fills the room as Heero steps down and allows Akira to take his place on the podium.

“Uh…” The boy flushes and stares at the badge as if it’s some alien entity and shakes his head in disbelief. “Wow…I can’t believe it…but…thank you, Heero senpai. You were an inspiration to many of us and I think I can safely say that I hope to continue your legacy and be half as good as you were.”

I tune out his speech and catch Heero’s gaze again. I can see he’s struggling to control his feelings, and after last night’s partying or fiasco of a party (Wufei managed to get us home in one piece), I was sure he would have been ready for today.

I woke up sometime in the night to an empty bed, blinked in confusion and then turned to see him sitting at the desk like a lonesome statue. Doing my best not to make a sound, I noticed he was reading the Big Book of Past Presidents (that’s what I like to call it). He will have to turn it in tomorrow for the handing-over ceremony and I know how much he’s treasured that piece of history.

I tiptoe up to him and wrap my arms around his shoulder, placing a tender kiss on his head as he jerks in surprise at my presence.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you up,” he apologizes quietly.

I shake my head a little. “No problem…nervous?” I ask.

“No…not really,” he replies and closes the book slowly. “Just…memories that’s all. It was a crazy year, wasn’t it?”

I chuckle and pull away to sit on the desk, picking up the heavy book gently. “You said it. Crazy but fun.”

“Lots of things happened.”

“Uh huh.”

He bites his lower lip and stares at his hands for a long minute. “To be honest…I’m scared, Duo.”

I say nothing, wanting him to finish his thoughts. It’s not everyday Heero decides to be blunt with his innermost feelings and I know this means a lot to him.

“Being the president made me feel…like I was relevant,” he confesses. “It was a shield, Duo and tomorrow…when I give it away, I’ll feel naked and vulnerable again…like before I met you,” he finishes in a weak whisper. “I don’t want to go back to that feeling again. Being invisible and no one knowing you even exist until absolutely necessary.”

“Oh, Heero…” I slide off the desk and kneel before him, capturing his hands in mine and forcing him to look at me. Damn, he looks so cute and adorable when uncertain about something. “You’ve always been necessary and relevant. You had your friends and they were always there for you, but you kept pushing them away. You were the one who didn’t want to ‘expose’ himself to others. You were content in that cocoon you had created for yourself and wouldn’t let anyone in.”

“So how did you manage to break through?” he asks with a light smirk.

“Persistence.” I grin and place a gentle kiss on his hands. “I wasn’t going to give up without a fight and you shouldn’t either. You might be handing over tomorrow, but you’ll still be an authoritative figure until the day you walk out of those gates. I know Zechs never made you forget that until graduation day.”

We both laugh at the memory, but then again, I know Heero would rather eat his shorts than act like Zechs had – being bossy and all around nosey in everything Heero was up to until the last minute.

“You’ll do fine,” I say with another reassuring kiss on the tip of his nose. “And if Akira gives you trouble, I’ll punch him in the face for you.”

“Thanks, my knight in shining red pjs.” He tugs the waistband of my pants lightly, forcing me to sit on his lap. “So…ready for the week ahead?”

“No.”

He chuckles and nuzzles my neck as I snuggle against him. “And you will be fine, Mr. Maxwell.”

“Only if you take my exams for me,” I murmur, and then moan as I feel his hand slip into my pants to knead my ass cheeks gently. “Pervert.”

“You know you love it,” he whispers as he gets to his feet, lifting me along with him and towards the bed. “You are one fantastic distraction, Mr. Maxwell.”

I snicker and allow him to toss me on the warm sheets, writhing in pleasure as he joins me with a moan. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I gasp into his mouth just as he releases my cock.

“I know, Mr. Yuy. I know.”

It’s the least I can do for you…

Akira’s speech is finally over and we all clap politely as he begins to introduce his members of cabinet. Out with the old and in with the new. Getting bored of the whole affair, I motion towards Heero that I’ll be waiting outside for him. Not surprisingly, I’m not the only one sick of the whole thing, since Wufei and Quatre are chatting in the hallway.

“How’s Trowa?” I ask as I walk up to them. Quatre blushes and waves a hand in a circular motion.

“He’s fine. Still has bruises on his knuckles though.”

“I never did ask what that was all about,” Wufei asks with a chuckle. “We were so busy screaming freedom, we forgot about the fight.”

“The guy was pawing me,” Quatre confesses, still blushing. “Even though I told him I was with Trowa, he wouldn’t listen. He told Trowa to fuck off and tried to kiss me and he just…snapped.”

I have to laugh. “That’s the fucking understatement of the fucking century!”

“Remind me never to get him pissed off,” Wufei cowers in a mocking way. “Say…”

“Oh oh,” I cut off Wufei as I notice the girls approaching us. Someone doesn’t look too happy. “What’s up, ladies?”

“Hi, Duo,” Relena greets and kisses my cheeks gently. Hilde does the same, but Dorothy makes a beeline for Wufei and before either of us can say a word, she gives her boyfriend (or maybe ex at this point) a resounding slap on the cheek that sends him staggering against the wall. He holds his throbbing face in shock, matching the looks on our faces, I guess even the girls weren’t expecting it as they too look stunned. It doesn’t help that students are beginning to file out of the council room (the ceremony must be over) and are now watching the events with interest.

With a straight face, Dorothy states flatly. “You pig.”

“Wha…what?!” Wufei manages now looking pissed off as well. “What the hell…?”

“Did you think I wouldn’t find out, you disgusting pig?”

“What are you…?”

She holds up her cell phone and bam! there’s a picture of Wufei and Nia in a lip lock somewhere. Holy crap. This isn’t good. I wince. Wufei looks sick.

“Okay, wait a sec, I can explain that…”

“Explain it to your hand tonight,” Dorothy interrupts in that same flat and toneless voice. Scary. “I’m through with you. I warned you when we started this relationship that I will not tolerate any cheating. If you’re bored with me, you tell me upfront and we break off. But to find out like this…this was actually sent to my cell phone.”

“From who?!”

“Does it matter? All that matters is that it’s over. Have a wonderful life with your girl, Wufei.”

She spins on her heels to walk away.

“Go after her,” Quatre whispers fervently.

“So she can kill me?” comes the grumble as Wufei rubs his swelling cheek. “Damn that stupid bitch!”

“You cheated on her, dude,” I remind him with a shrug.

“Exactly,” Relena says as she reaches out to tug Wufei’s ear none too gently. “Go after her and try to explain things if you’re not guilty!”

“Ow, ow, all right! All right, I’m going! Leggo my ear!”

She does so and with a last look of help to us guys – and seeing that we aren’t going to do jack for him – Wufei sighs in resignation and jogs after his girl…or ex-girl.

“What did I miss?” Heero asks as he finally steps out of the room.

I explain the situation to him quickly and he groans. “I knew it. Who sent the picture though?”

“Dunno, don’t care. Come on, we have to go.”

“Go where?” Hilde asks.

“I have to meet the Woodruff basketball coach,” I reply with a blush staining my cheeks. Heero squeezes my hand gently in reassurance.

Quatre eyes us both, a knowing smile on his lips. “So you’ve decided to go to Kensington then?”

“Yup!” I reply happily. “But first, the trip around the world. We’ve got to make plans for that too.”

“Busy, busy weekend ahead of you, eh?” Relena says with a giggle. She hugs us both. “We have to help the juniors prepare the tents for the festival. I swear they can’t do anything without us. See you guys later!”

She and Hilde make their way down the hallway, leaving the three of us to stare after them. “Is it just me or are Relena’s boobs a bit bigger?” I muse to no one in particular, but a sharp kick to my shin has me wincing. “Heero! Dude!”

“Stop admiring her breasts and let’s go, damn it!” he growls and tugs me impatiently.

I pout to Quatre who’s laughing his ass off as I’m dragged away. “What are you getting jealous for anyway? I just said she has bigger…”

“Duo…” comes the low warning I’m all too familiar with.

“Okay, okay.” I shut up for a while until we get outside and then mumble beneath my breath. “They are bigger.”

__

“Seriously, I need to buy another bike or get a goddamn car,” I grumble as we step out of the bus and stare at the diner. I hate to admit I’m feeling nervous about the whole thing, but I have made my decision and I’m ready to face Coach Buster.

“You should, you have the money,” Heero says absently. He’s starving and heads to the counter to place our order while I look around the restaurant.

“They’re not here yet,” I mutter. I drum my fingers on the counter, getting more nervous by the second. My stomach is filled with butterflies and even though I had planned this meeting a week ahead, all the words I plan to say seem to be disappearing rapidly.

“Do you want me to come with you?” Heero asks as we find an empty section in the nearly filled diner.

I shake my head and play with the saltshaker. “Nah, it’s cool. I’ll be fine.” I try to smile but I don’t think Heero’s buying it. “Honest, I’ll be okay. I’ll just tell him that I’m no longer interested…for now and what’s the worst that can happen? He’ll call me names and we’ll be on our way.”

“Duo…” Heero suddenly looks miserable and I reach out to hold his hands.

“Don’t, Heero. It’s my choice, okay? I can take it. Believe me, I can.”

As soon as I say that, the chime over the door heralds a new customer and sure enough, I crane my neck around to see the intimidating figure of Buster Rooney and his ever-present assistant coach stuck to his side like a leech.

“Showtime,” I mumble and rise to my feet. I give Heero a reassuring wink and walk towards the men with what I hope is a sincere smile on my face.

“Coach,” I greet, accepting the crushing handshake with a barely concealed whimper. My fingers go numb as soon as he releases them.

“Maxwell,” he replies, with a smile that doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “I hope this meeting is a good one, son. I don’t usually go out of my way to visit students like this.”

I can feel Heero’s eyes drilling holes at my back as I motion towards another empty section of the diner. “Let’s have a seat first, sir. Want to order anything?”

“No, son. I’ve got practice to get to,” he reminds me curtly. I nod in understanding, already feeling the cold hands of dread attempting to choke me. Breathing is becoming a little difficult. What had I been thinking? Why didn’t I just not show up in the new school year and let it all slide? Who was I to get such a great man like Buster to meet me like this?

Well, he did go out of his way to scout me so maybe I am entitled to this.

“Well, son? Make it quick.”

I clasp my hands tightly on the table and taking a deep breath; I stare into the steely gray eyes before me. “I’m quitting the team, sir. In fact, I won’t be going to Woodruff at all.”

I decide not to say what school I’ve decided to attend, and wait for it.

“Is that it?” comes the gruff response that’s curt and colder than ice.

“Ye…yes, sir. I wanted to apologize…”

“Save your apology, Maxwell. I have dealt with wussies like you in the past and it’s not surprising to me that you’ll quit so quickly.”

My hands tighten and I hold back my tongue. Fucking asshole! Had I really considered playing for this prick? However, Buster isn’t finished yet.

“A good thing you told me this now, Maxwell. As a matter of fact, I was beginning to have doubts about you. You don’t do too well in the pocket and I need a power forward that can gain me some points in a game, not show off. So thank you, son, for making my job so much easier.” He gives me a mean smile that shows all his teeth and I want to - oh God help me - bash them all in. “So what pussy-footed school you going to play for, huh?”

I smirk and decide to take great relish in telling him. “Kensington,” I say slowly and firmly. He isn’t quick to mask the look of surprise on his face before it’s replaced with fury.

“Kensington.”

“Kensington,” I repeat firmly.

“You’re a damn fool, boy.”

“I know.” My smirk grows wider. “Which is why I look forward to the day we play Woodruff and I get to kick your ass, with all due respect…sir.”

“You…” His face reddens and he sputters, but my work is done. I rise to my feet and offer my hand for a handshake to seal the deal, but neither man accepts it, which is cool with me.

“You’re gonna regret this, boy,” he finally whispers harshly.

“Will I?” I grin and lift my middle finger in a salute as old as time. “You can suck on it, sir. I’m out.”

I walk away with a mock salute and shuffle back towards Heero, who’s all but ready to pounce on me with questions. It’s not till I pick up the saltshaker again, do I realize I’m trembling like a leaf. I hold my breath and wait for the familiar chime of the door and once it signals that they’ve left the building, I let out a whoosh of air and grin in victory.

“I did it. Told him to kiss my ass basically.”

Heero blinks and then bursts out laughing. “You didn’t.”

“Yeah, I did. Phew. And that felt good too! Now, what’s for lunch?” I rub my hands together and eye our upcoming tray. It’s Stacy serving today and as I admire her lovely pink hair-dye job, I am content that one of my plans has been crossed off my list.

Hello Monday!

__

“How did you do?” Heero asks as he pushes himself away from the wall and walks towards me. Damn him! He was one of the first to finish and left the room way before the time was up.

“I dunno,” I grumble, scratching my head as I notice our friends sans Dorothy approaching. “The dissecting part…I think I might have screwed up a few parts of the fucking frog.”

“Don’t talk to me about frogs,” Wufei groans and sniffs his fingers again. He makes a face and shudders. “I think I’m going to dream of them tonight.”

“I thought it was fine,” Relena chirps in happily. “I have a good feeling about this. Anyone coming over to my house to study tonight?”

We all mumble various stages of ‘no’ and she walks away with a huff, Hilde hot on her tail. Curiosity getting the better of me, I nudge Wufei gently. “How’s Dorothy?”

He snaps his textbook shut and frowns. “Still not talking to me. I still want to know who sent that damn picture!”

“Forget about the picture,” Trowa replies with a sigh of impatience. “You screwed up, you pay the price.”

“Shut the fuck up,” Wufei mutters and before they can get into an argument, Heero tugs me aside with a kiss to my cheek.

“We’ll see you guys later,” he says as we walk away. My mind is already on tomorrow’s exam. I know I should do well in English and Geography should be a breeze. In a moment of forgetfulness, I reach for my cell phone, scrolling through the list of names to find…

Mom

….I’m just about to press the green button when I suddenly remember that she’s no longer going to be able to answer me. No longer will I be able to call her to talk about my classes and how they had gone. I won’t hear her call me ‘baby’ and try to reassure me that everything will be all right. Damn.

“Duo? What’s wrong?”

I switch off the device and nod towards my concerned boyfriend, smiling as genuinely as I can so as not to worry him. “Nothing. Just thought my cell phone rang. Come on! We’ve gotta hurry!”

This time I lead the way because I can already see the questions in his eyes. Not today, Heero, I beg inwardly. Not now…maybe not ever. There are just some things you won’t understand.

__

By Wednesday, the stress is noticeable amongst a few seniors. Several have collapsed in the middle of taking an exam, others have fallen sick and one in Geography had actually burst into tears, unable to remember a darn thing she had studied. Poor Crissy. And she was one of the smartest girls in class too. The fun thing (if you consider it fun) about taking finals is that we get to leave the school whenever we want. While the rest of the student body scurries about getting ready for the end of year festival, the floor reserved for the seniors during this time is relatively quiet and we’re left to take our exams in peace. I make sure I don’t sit next to the window or I’ll be tempted to stare at all the tents and decorations being set up. I guess that’s one thing I’m going to miss about Fujisaki. They throw the meanest parties and this year’s festival looks like it’s going to be the biggest yet. Heero and I already plan to visit and enjoy ourselves. Who knows? Maybe what happened last year will take place again?

Oh geez! Focus, Duo! Focus on the goddamn paper in front of you!

That night I snooze off at the coffee table while trying to study up on Macbeth. I think I dream of floating heads and bloody daggers chasing me down Fujisaki’s hallways, and only wake up when Heero bops my head and forces me to continue studying. Damn it all to hell. I can’t wait until this is over.

Friday can’t come fast enough, and there’s a clear excitement in the air. These are the ‘easy’ courses and after the first few days of stressing over the required subjects (you must have high scores if you have any hope of getting into your choice college), our electives are all but a breeze. I just about saunter into my advanced mechanics glass with a song in my heart…until I see what we are supposed to reassemble.

“Fuck!”

Professor Dunn grins and pats me on the back. “And good afternoon to you too, Maxwell. Good luck! I’m sure you’ll do well.”

Riiight. I swear the guy enjoys torturing us, but donning on my apron and getting my toolbox from the shelf, I decide to give this my best shot. After all, it’s not everyday we get to work on the engine of a jet plane.

We’re halfway through our reassembly when we hear the first whoops of joy from seniors who are already finished with their exams. I shake my head with a small smile on my lips, wiping the sweat from my brow as I screw another bolt tight into the crankshaft.

“Lucky bastards,” Steven mumbles beside me. “What possessed me to take this class again?”

I snicker and scribble another part done in the test sheet beside me, now more than eager to finish this darn job and join my comrades outside in celebration. More whoops and cheers filter into the garage/workshop and my need to be free nearly has me driving the wrench into my finger.

“DONE!” Someone yells from the back and we all look back to curse the moron. Like he gives a fuck what we think anyway. Seishiro, a certified geek at these things, is waving his hands about and Professor Dunn shakes his head.

“Fine, fine, you can leave.”

“Thank you, sir!”

For fuck’s sake! Can’t he keep his goddamn voice down? I curse as I miss another bolt and step back to take a deep breath and calm myself, trying hard to ignore the sounds of a few more students completing their projects. Their happy laughter as they leave the room jars on my nerves and shaking my head with a low growl, I attack the engine with a vengeance. This is one of my favorite classes, if not the best, and I usually excel in stuff like this. But why he’d give us this to reassemble on the last day… I mean he only spoke about it theoretically.

“Thirty minutes left,” the professor chimes and I struggle to gather moisture in my parched throat.

Just a few more…just a few more….

Twenty minutes later, I’m all but done. I step back to eye my work, making sure that nothing’s loose and no screw has been left behind (or dropped to the floor). I bite my lower lip, study my test sheet and sure that I’m through with everything, I raise my hand.

“Done!”

Prof. Dunn smiles and motions for me to submit my paper, which I do with much haste.

“You were a fine student, Maxwell,” he says quietly. “I’ll miss having you in my classroom, that’s for sure.”

I blush and smile warmly. “I’ll visit when I can, sir. You were an awesome teacher, too.”

He nods with a soft chuckle and reaches out to pump my hand in a handshake, ignoring the grease I rub all over his fingers. “Take care, Maxwell and have a successful life outside these walls.”

“Will do, sir. Thank you.”

After washing up my hands and taking off the apron, I take a deep breath and step into the bright spring sunlight, lifting my head to the heavens as I inhale the scent of freedom. I can’t believe it. That was my last…absolute last time ever-stepping foot into a classroom for anything study-related! I won’t have to show up in school (if I didn’t want to) until graduation!

“FUCKING AWESOME!!!” I scream and nearly get jostled to the ground as a few of my classmates pounce on me in jubilation. We laugh and hug each other in disbelief and relief, talking at once and hardly hearing each other as we make plans to party like it’s the last day on Earth.

“Heero!!” I yell as I notice my boyfriend talking to his Physics teacher. He shakes the man’s hand before heading towards me with a grin on his face.

We stop several inches away from each other, still smiling like goofs. “Well, how does it feel to be free from studying, Mr. Yuy?”

He makes a face, as if deep in thought, then smirks. “Well, Mr. Maxwell, now that you ask, it feels fucking amazing.”

“Amen, brother, amen!” We hug tightly, and before I can stop myself, seize his lips in a kiss that soon has him bending me over like we’re doing the tango. Our friends and classmates hoot and holler at the display and when he finally releases me; I’m barely able to stand. God, he’s one hell of a kisser.

“Party at my house tonight!” Relena yells from the window of her classroom. “Everyone is invited!”

“YAAAAAY!!!” Just about the entire student body responds and Heero and I laugh in glee. Good luck to her trying to control all the kids eager to party at the great Peacecraft mansion tonight. But, I’m so there anyway. She throws the best -

“Say,” Heero whispers in my ear as we make our way to our lockers to unpack our things. “Remember that room upstairs in Building A…”

His voice trails off and I blush to the roots of my hair. “Heero Yuy. Shame on you.”

“Come on,” he cajoles in a voice nothing short of pure sex. “Room 513 awaits us, Duo. For the memories, hmm?”

“One last time?”

“Yeah…and several other places I can think of. Gotta leave the school with something.” He smirks and tugs my hand. Who am I to say no?

In silence, with my heart beating hard and fast within my chest, we skip past the noisy part of school and walk up the flight of stairs to the ghostly corridors leading to the roof. We stop before the door to the room where I had first shown Heero the heights of pleasure. Memories come flooding back in a rush and I feel a ridiculous sting of tears as he turns the knob – locked of course – before I wink and slip the trusty pin from my hair. In no time, I unlock the door and pull him in, shutting it behind Heero with my foot before pressing him against the wall to seize his lips in a searing kiss.

“Mmm….Duo…” He manages to gasp within my mouth. “Wa…wait.”

“What?” I pant helplessly, now too aroused to think straight.

“The desk is gone,” he muses a bit sadly.

I finally take a good look around the room and notice it’s not the only thing that’s changed. This room was also once filled with file cabinets of school records, but now, only one rusty looking cabinet sits in the corner, and a few broken desks and chairs all piled beside it.

“I miss that desk,” I say with a pout, walking to where it had once stood and how Heero and I had squeezed ourselves beneath to hide from the seniors back then. He walks up silently and wraps his arms around my waist, nuzzling my neck.

“Still has that musty smell,” he murmurs.

“Mmm…hmmm…”

“Floor is dusty…” His fingers find my zipper and tug down gently. I whimper as he tugs on my belt to release it, my pants falling to my ankles in a whisper. “Can’t possibly lie on it,” he continues in that husky voice that’s turning me to mush. He finds my cock and begins to stroke, and I press my ass against his obvious tent, grinding slowly against his erection as he pumps me harder.

“Against the wall, Duo,” he commands and like a wanton, I do as I’m told, placing my hands against the beige cold wall to steady myself. I sob helplessly as he falls to his knees to part my ass cheeks, revealing my puckered opening to his gaze. I hiss sharply as his tongue worships me; my knees threatening to send me falling to the floor save for his strong hands on my thighs preventing that. My hand continues to slip each time he captures my cock or teases my balls or blows softly against my anus.

Oh God…I can’t stand it anymore…

“Heero…” I moan and almost cry in frustration as he releases me to get to his feet. However, two fingers, wet with his saliva, buries themselves deep within my ass. He stretches me as deep and wide as he can, whispering words of love (and a few dirty ones that turn me the hell on!) while tugging on his belt to free his own cock.

“Dare we go with three?” he muses out loud and I hold my breath. He’s never stuck three fingers in me before and I brace myself for the pain, but surprisingly, I’m already well stretched and I barely feel the difference…oh…yeeeeah…I do now.

“Fuck…” I groan. “Feels good…so good….”

He laughs softly against my ear. “Naughty, Duo. You’re staining the wall with your cum.”

I blush and lift my lashes (never realized I had closed them to begin with) and stare in growing embarrassment at the small wet streaks on the wall. “Well,” I gasp. “You did say we ought to leave…our mark…uuugh!”

He withdraws his fingers and in one smooth thrust, plunges his ready cock deep into me, driving me up against the wall and causing more of my cum to imprint itself upon it.

“Harder,” I grunt, pushing myself back against him as he pumps into me. The friction this causes has us moaning in pleasure. My inner muscles so slick and hot with each slide of his swollen organ that I can barely think straight. “Harder!”  I demand and for my boldness, he grabs my neck, forcing me to turn back to meet his lips in a heated kiss. Our tongues clash and duel for dominance as I’m close to coming…coming…coming….

“Coming…oh…..aaaaaaaaaaaah……OH GOD!!”

My orgasm does send me to my knees and Heero with me. My stomach muscles are tightened in a knot as my semen splashes against the wall with Heero’s final thrusts in me. When he too comes, I feel him deep within me, the warmth of his seed filling my insides until he’s spent. I refuse to release him just yet, tightening and holding his cock prisoner till I milk him dry. He whimpers into my ear and I chuckle in exhaustion, falling to the dusty floor in resignation. I don’t care if anyone thinks we’ve just fucked each other senseless, I couldn’t stand now even if you paid me a million bucks.

He eventually withdraws with a satisfied grunt, wrapping his arms around me as we stare at the ceiling in our hazy afterglow.

“Mmmmm…that was so good,” I murmur in content. “Where to next?”

“Gimme a minute to catch my breath,” he laughs and kisses me softly. “Hmm…the student council office is still mine until the end of the day.”

I smirk and sit up, a wicked plan forming in my mind. “We could just make out on the desk there and leave a little going away present for Akira.”

“You heartless bastard,” he says, even though his eyes are lighting up with mischief. “You wouldn’t really…”

But I’m already bounding to my feet, wince a little at my sore ass and pout. “Maybe we should rest up for a while. You really overdid it this time.”

“Who was screaming harder, huh?” He rises to his feet to pull me into a hug when we stiffen at the sound of voices outside the door. Not again!

“I swear, Dave,” says a trembling voice, “there are really ghosts in here!”

“I don’t buy it,” comes the rebuttal. “There’re no such thing as ghosts. See? The door is locked. You’re just imagining things.”

Heero and I look at each other, similar smirks coming to our faces as we realize that we’re probably dealing with only freshmen. With a wicked grin on my face, I pull away and rub my hands together. One last prank to pull and oh, I was planning to enjoy this.

“Ready, Heero?” I whisper as he moves towards one of the broken chairs to lift it above his head. He winks and nods. “Now!”

Their screams of terror as the chair smashes against the door has us breaking down into helpless laughter. We can hear their running footsteps disappearing in a heartbeat, and as I open the door to peek out, I barely catch a glimpse of a brown loafer dashing around the corner.

“That will teach them,” I say with a smirk.

“Yeah, but pull up your pants first,” Heero laughs as I blush and do as I’m told.

“What do we do now? There’s no way I’m letting you touch me until…”

“You can take me,” he whispers thickly, moving in to nuzzle my neck. I’m just about ready to do as he’s suggested when his cell phone buzzes within his blazer. He pulls away with a curse and eyes the text message he’s received, a smile coming to his lips as he reads.

“Well, looks like Wufei’s found something to do and wants us to join him.”

“Oh?” I read the message and burst out laughing. “Sweet!”

“Just a little going away present for the Buzzard,” Heero says as we leave the room, but not before I stand back to eye it with a wistful smile. “I’ll miss it too,” Heero says quietly and I nod in agreement.

“Come on,” I hook my arm around his. “Let’s go wreck some havoc on that bastard’s car. We have to clean up first though…”

I listen to him talk with excitement as I lean against his body, smiling to myself at just how much  he’s changed since the day I met him. I can still remember the icy looks and cold glares, the hateful remarks and unaccommodating persona. I remember the first time I kissed him against his locker…in public! His humiliation and desire for me undeniable at the time. There were the jealous streaks and misunderstandings, our fights and arguments that only made us stronger. I’d like to take credit for doing such a good job of getting him out of his shell, but I’d be lying. Heero has worked hard to become a better person, both inside and out. I’m only a small part of his transformation, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

He’s changed me as well, that much is certain. Through him, I’ve learned to trust again, to be a little more open and honest with my feelings, instead of masking them behind a smile and a grin (most of the time). He’s been there for me when I needed him (and even when I didn’t). I’ve assimilated into his world, gone through obstacles that I would have ordinarily shied away from, but he’s given me the balls to go for my dreams even without trying. I know there are still secrets of my past that I have yet to reveal to him, but I know there are some things that are not meant to be known and perhaps one day, I’ll be more than ready to tell him everydamnthing.

I glance at his profile again, admiring the strong jaw, straight nose and those long lashes that mask breathtaking blue eyes. He’s becoming a man…no longer a boy and I shiver in delight and anticipation for what’s to come. What the future holds for us, I’m more than eager to find out – and to spend the rest of my life with him? What could possibly be better? But one thing is clear and there’s simply no doubt in my mind,

I love you, Heero Yuy. Now…Always…Forever…
