INTERLUDE: VEGETASEI

The Great Za’ani, the ruler of all things dead and undead, created Vegetasei out of the Great Void. A void so bleak and so desolate that the other deities had cringed away in fear.

From the onset, Vegetasei was to be a planet that would be feared and respected. Za’ani knew he had created something special and he intended to keep it that way. He would not allow any other entity to approach his creation. He nurtured and protected it. He gave them an enormous energy and strength that was unmatched. A race of great oozaru wa’zuai, Za’ani made sure they lived up to their name. Saiyan. He would tolerate no weaklings. He would tolerate no apathy. He would tolerate no uprisings or rebellions, for he was the god that sought for justice in his own way.

The other entities looked on with envy. A gathering of many watched, as Vegetasei became the planet of leaders, perfect in every way. And so they plotted for a way to get rid of Za’ani. The beautiful handmaiden, Arivea, was sent to Vegetasei in the form of a child. She would grow up to become the perfect Saiyan warrior. Her tales of conquest was spread across the land and of course Za’ani heard of them. Intrigued beyond his imagination, the god had finally met his match. In a battle that would be talked about for centuries, Za’ani and Arivea would never cave in to each other. A reluctant passion was born and the bloodline of Vegeta began.

Alas, the entities reminded Arivea of her mission and so the handmaiden was forced to create her chaos upon the peaceful planet. With a heavy heart and a cry for forgiveness, she divided Vegetasei into four quadrants; N’oru Vegetasei, E’oru Vegetasei, W’oru Vegetasei and S’oru Vegetasei. Each quadrant became bitter enemies and rivals with the other. Each sought to gain acceptance with the Ha’j, and as a result rebellions and uprisings began all over the planet. Za’ani saw the chaos and was heartbroken. In a fit of anger, he destroyed his mate, Arivea. Unfortunately, the damage was done. The now weakened god could only watch as his planet was slowly being reduced to a shadow of its former self.

It is believed that Za’ani remained locked in his castle for the rest of his life, never leaving the safety of his home, for he did not want to face his dying planet. He passed away quietly and it is believed that the main city of Vegeta is built around his palace, the center of Vegetasei. It is from here that the Ha’j has ruled the planet.

Ahi, I see the question in your eyes. No, my friend. The uprisings continue, for you see E’oru Vegetasei is disgruntled. They are filled with the Ba’an and they are not a very happy people. They believe that the Ha’j has oppressed them long enough and so they have sought for ways to bring down the royal house for centuries.
