The Scoop:
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always put pen to paper – literally. I was lucky to grow up in a home where my parents were avid readers – especially my father. I can remember spending hours buried behind books; allowing myself to get lost in worlds and fantasies reality could never achieve. I was always called a dreamer, a girl whose head was always stuck in the clouds. That wasn’t always a good thing, but hey, sometimes I needed those bouts of imagination to get through difficult times and it worked.

I enjoy creating characters and seeing how far I can take them in various situations, and if the opportunity presents itself, I try writing for as many genres as I can. Just to push and challenge myself to see how far I can go. Sometimes it works, and other times, I wonder why I haven’t given up this craft.

One of my favorite poems written, pretty much sums up my attitude sometimes to writing in general:

Remind me, oh Muse, why this conversation
Every year a tradition we go through with no
Suitable solution in sight – need I an alibi
Over the notion that you are a serpent
Lying in wait for a moment of weakness where you
Undeniably prey upon my mindless drivel
Taunting me to create works that so
Incinerate my better judgment and mocks
Overtures of improvement – for woe is me
Never to pen my greatest work yet again this year
